A daily sketch diary to better myself at drawing the human and not-so-human form in a comic book/animation style and pave a pathway to a skill that I enjoy doing. By going public with my artistic journey I am hoping that I feel more of a need to continue my way to being a better artist. Suggestions for daily sketches are always appreciated. Right now I am concentrating on form and anatomy.

Sketch of the day: Shadowcat and Lockheed, bath time!
I decided to try drawing Lockheed and Shadowcat coming out of a wall to catch him while holding a bottle of shampoo. I had some trouble with Lockheed while coloring him, my purple is too dark.

Sketch of the day: Indigo Lantern Kor-Ghee (original character)
Today I decided to play around with the concept of creating my own character, I used the Indigo Lanterns from the Green Lantern comic books by DC, known as the Indigo Tribe. The color indigo represents compassion within the DC universe. I created a new race of aliens that resemble corgis, the little short-legged dogs made popular by the Queen of England. My character is named Kor-Ghee, an Indigo Lantern representing his race of Corgi-like aliens. I like how he turned out for the most part, he has a cute face and I like the colors.

Sketch of the day: Wolverine from the Age of Apocalypse
Today I drew Wolverine from the classic Age of Apocalypse story-line. I also drew, for the first time, somewhat of a background to have him interacting with. First time for everything, I like how it turned out for the most part.

Sketch of the day: Surprised Chicken
A good friend of mine asked me to draw her a chicken, so I drew this chicken that is surprised that she laid an egg. It was fun to draw an animal and try to give it some personality.

Sketch of the day: Blink from the X-Men in COLOR
I took the drawing from earlier and traced it, then colored it using markers and pens. It turned out okay, but her face is a little weird. I need to work on eyes and facial expressions. I love how her clothing turned out.

Sketch of the day: Gambit from the X-Men
I was given the request to draw Gambit from the X-Men today by an on-line buddy. I hope he likes how he turned out, I think he turned out not too bad. I liked the challenge of his coat, which could look better but not bad for one of my first coats.

Sketch of the day: Druid, Witch & Faces
Today I am sharing some sketches I did of a Druid and a Witch, and a couple of faces. These were drawn from a how to book I have been using to learn a certain style of drawing I like. The one face of the monkey-like creature was one I kind of tweaked to make my own, appropriate for the new Planet of the Apes movie out right now.

Sketch of the day: Classic Storm from the X-Men
Today I drew Storm from the X-Men in her classic original outfit. It's timeless and beautiful. I think I did a pretty good job today drawing her. I need some more skin-tone markers though, the brown I have is way too dark but I made it work as best I could.

Sketch of the day: Warlord
Today I drew a Warlord from the cartooning book I have. He came out pretty close to the original. I like the style that the book has and hope to pick it up with each time I draw something from it.
